Hon. R. McNab at Waihou.
(Our Own Correspondent.) A deputation of the "Waihou branch of the Farmers’ Union and settlers, introduced by Councillor Thomas, waited on the Minister for Lands at the Waihou railway station this morning, and asked him for an up-to-date goods-shed and larger waiting- j room to replace the inadequate buildings now in use. It was also pointed out that the approach to the railway station was in an unsatisfactory condition. J Assistance was also asked in making outlets to the Waitoa River for I purpose of draining the Hunga- j hunga district. In reply the Minister stated that he recognised the need I for something to be done and pro- I mised to give the matter his earnest attention. I
