On Friday we held our openiug sale at Coromandel, when there was a very large atendance and a good muster of stock, the cattle being a credit to the district, showing both quality and breeding. Bidding was brisk, and with yery few exceptions, everyihing changed hands. Cows in milk, sold at from £4 5s to £8 10s ; backward springers, £4 5s to £8; springcart, £9 ; pigs, £1 2s to £2 2s ; oaten straw, £2O; 20 bags Algerian oats, 3s 4d per bushel. Cattle: At the Newmarket yards on Tuesday there was a large muster of stock of all descriptions. Steers sold at from £6 5s to £ll ; cows, £3 15s to £7. | Sheep : The Newmarket yards were well filled with sheep of all descriptions on Tuesday and sold at late rates, wethers selling at from 17s6d to £1 2s 3d, owes, 13s 9d to £l. J Lambs in full supply, sold at from 10s Od to 14s Gd. The 1,250 advertised store ewes from Gisborne sold at from 10s 3d to 12s Gd.

Pigs : Porkers sold at from 18s 9d to £1 8s 6d ; weaners, 10s 6d to 15s; baconers, £1 18s to £3 2s. We submitted an extra large catalogue of hides, skins and tallow, all lines being sold under fair competition at late fates. Hides: Market firm. Sheepskins : Market firm. Best butchers’ skins, large up to Bs, medium 5s to 6s 6d, small 3s Gd to 4s 3d ; lambs’ and pelts, 3s to 4s 4d. Tallow: Market firm. Best mixed up to 2Gs 6d; good, 24s to 25s 3d ; inferior, 18s to 22s gd ; rough fat l:]d per lb. Horns: Large, lGs to 23s per 100; medium, 10s to 14s per 100 ; small, 2s Dd to Gs per 100. Maize is weak at 3s 2d on the wharf. Oats : Selling slowly at 3s Id ex store. Wheat is in good demand at 3s 9d. Chaff: Local, £4 to £4 5s at rail; Australian, £5 to £5 os ex store. Butter: Milling quality, 7jd; prime separator, up to 9d. Cheese: Selling slowly at Gld. Fungus is worth sd.
