Waihou Football Club.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Waihou Football Club was held in the Waihou Hotel, on Monday last, There was a large attendance of members who unanimously voted Mr T. D. Rice to the chair.

Minutes of the last annual meeting were read by the secretary, Mr James Rooney, and confirmed. The reading of the balance-sheet from last year, which I showed a credit balance of £ls 17s lOd, 1 gave considerable satisfaction to those who were present. ' The following gentlemen were then appointed officers of the club for the ensuing year .‘—Patron, Mr J. W. Anderson ; president, Mr H. Magill; vice presidents, Messrs T. D. Rice, W. A. Taylor, and J. A. Granger; secretary and treasurer, Mr James Rooney ; delegates to the Union, Messrs T. D. Rice, J. Timmins and J. Hogan; captain, J. Timmins; vice-captain, Mr D. Borrie; selector of the Seniors, Mr W R. Johnson ; and for the Juniors, Mr H. McKenzie. The Secretary was instructed fo write to Mr G. Lewis thanking him for again providing a brake free of charge to take the team to Morrinsville, Od the motion of the Chairman, a vote of thanks was passed to the Captain, Vice-captain and Secretary for the very efficient way in which they had carried out their duties during the past year. The meeting then concluded. A go d deal of enthusiasm was shown at the meeting, and the- prospects for the coming season are bright and promis'ng. Practice will probably start on Saturday 13th.
