Upper Thames Methodist Circuit.
The quarterly meeting of the Upper Thamoa Methodist Circuit was held on Thursday evening at Waihi, the Rev, J. Blight in the chair. Membership returns showed a slight decrease, owing to removals. Financially quarter bad been a good one, thC balance sheet showing a credit of inconsiderable discussion took place a* to the employment of a second Home Missionary, to reside at Putaruru. It was finally decided that it would be a little premature. Mr H J. Boulton, of Mamuku, attended and laid before the meeting a scheme and plane fora church building at Mamaku. The meeting heavily approved.; A resolution was passed for insertion w the circyit records, appreciation ot thU labour. 0* the fiev. J. Blight dnnng the last three year., and o( WJWWness for the progress made by the circuit during the term of his superintendency. Mr Blight suitably replied, reminding the meeting that .he alone could do little, but that the results achieved were the result ol hearty and united efforts throughout the circuit. A similar resolution was passed concerning Mr J. Richards, Home Missionary at Morrinsville, who has been appointed to the Lower Hu Circuit. Strong testimony was borne to Mr Richard ’B worth and work. The Rev. J. Dukes will arrive in le yroha next Wednesday, and the ReyT, W. Newbold will also take up bU abode in Waihi next week. M r -W. J. Scott, now H.M. at Kaeo, has been appointed lo Morrinsville.
