Irish Home Rule Question.
IRISH OPPOSITION. (By Tefegraphj—'Press Association.) LONDON, Yesterday. Lord Abercom introduced to Mr Balfour .fifty delegates representing Unionist organisations in Ireland, and urged the need to 1 combat any schemes in the direction of home rule. Mr Balfour justified the Local Government Act as the outcome of a sound and farsighted Unionist policy, yet information from all the quarters he had consulted showed that the dominant party in Ireland used it as a great electoral machine to promote the Nationalist interest while the community’s interest were fatally sacrificed. The inference was clear that those who w;ere proving unworthy of the trust conferred upon them in a small matter could not he given charge of a larger affair,
