Cambridge Horse Fair.
LARGE ATTENDANCE. (By Telegraph—Special) CAMBRIDGE, This Day. Messrs McNicol and Co’s horse fair Commenced yesterday and is being continued to-day with a large attendance in fine weather. There are buyers from Auckland, "Wellington, and Manawatu. Over 200 horses have been offered so far. Unbroken light harness, and draughts sold very well, also broken sorts. Unbroken 3-year draughts £3O to £42, unbroken 2-year draughts £l6 to £29, best broken draughts £4O to £SO, medium sorts £25 to £35, useful hacks and harness horses £l2 to £l7, ponies (colts) £5 to £9, There were twenty thoroughbreds from Mr Matthews’ Mahoenui estate : Yearlings and twosyear-olds 8 to 22 guineas, brood mares 15 guineas to 40 guineas, thoroughbred entire “ Westmere ” 27 guineas.
