We held our second sheep fair at Remuera on Tuesday and. yarded considerably over tbe advertised number, close on 8000 sheep being penned, all of which, with the exception of a few pens, changed bands at very satisfactory prices. On Wednesday at Otahuhu, we held a clearance sale at Mrs Hadfleld’s. There was a large attendance and stock sold at fair values. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle sold from L2 10s to L 6 15s ; dry cows, 30s toL3 10s. Fat and young oalves, in less than average numbers, sold freely at an advance on late sales ; 50 sold. There, was a full supply of fat cattle of cboioe quality. Prices were easier throughout. Ox beef sold to 31s per 1001 b, cow to 18s. Steers ranged in price from Lo 10s to LlO 2s 6d; cows, L 3 10s to L 6 15s; 346 sold# The sheep pens were well filled with mutton of nine quality Prices did not keep last week’s rise. Best wethers sold to 245, others to 21s, heavy ewes to 21s 9d, lighter weights to 17s; 1580 sold. Lambs, penned in average numbers, sold from 10s to 15s 3d; 370 sold. Pigs, in less numbers than usual, were scarcely up to recent quotations, except for good porkers, wbioh fully maintained reoent ' values.
