War Office Meat Contracts.
(By Telegraph)—Press Association.) : . * LONDON, Yesterday. Y The War Office authorities informed Hon W. P. Reeves that Mr Coghlan, who was interviewed, that the Department did not desire to deprive .the colonies of' the meat contracts for Gibraltar, as the meat they supplied was quite-satisfactory, but ] desired to extend a re-supply- in- case emergencies. He hoped t)ie contracts would still go to Australasia. Future contracts would specify frozen beef, thus giving Australasia an opportunity. The troops would henceforth receive frozen mutton once Weekly and beef twice.
