A sad drowning accident occurred yesterdayaf tei noon, when the children of Upokbngaro school with their x : parents and friends, went up the river .Ao'Karawhaike for a picnic. A boy j got out of his depth and two ladies, Mrs C. F. Grierson and Miss-Kate Campbell, l ist their lives in trying t> rescue him. Their bodies have been recovered. The boy was saved. - - bi ■ ■
