Mrs Harrison Lee.
MEETING TO-NIGHT. ' We won’d draw the attention of our readers to the meeting in the Theatre, Te Aroha, to be addressed this eveh- ■ ing by Mrs Harrison Lee, and would strongly advise all who can, to avail themselves of the opportunity of hearing her. She has been engaged for many years in Australia and New I Zealand as a platform advocate in • the temperance cause, and .has gained a reputation for eloquence and per suasiveness of a very high order. Whenever she has spoken she has drawn large audiences and left pleasant memories, and as this is likely to be her only visit to Te Aroha for some time, we anticipate a full house and an enthusiastic audience this evening. On Sunday last it was announced from several pulpits that Mrs Harrison Lee would speak at Te Aroha on the 18tb„ but owing to unforseen circumsfances and delays, it was found necessary to postpone the meeting until to-night. A man is said to be at his strongest after bis mid-day meal. During the afternoon the strength declines slightly ; it rises again towards evening, but declines steadily during the night. s- . When the bicycle was first introduced in India, it was not at all an,uncommon thing for natives to fall down and worship it. Calcutta can probably claim more womeu cyclists than any other city in India. , ,
An interesting trial of Richard Steven’s patent Combined Milk Coder and Aerator,, was held at Mr S. Bellamy’s farm, Waitoa, on July 24th and 25th, ThiYmiik from three of his cows which had been feeding on turnips only for several ; days, was put through the above cooler, separated and made into butter, it was free from the taste or smell of turnips, and gave entire satisfaction. A free trial given. These coolers can be ordered through Mr Fred W. Wild, secretary of the Te Aroha Butter Factory, to who payments must be made.—Advt.
