The Late Mrs Chas. Johnson.

On Sunday afternoon the late Mrs Chas Johnson, who died suddenly on Friday last, was interred at the Waihou Cemetery, A large number of vehicles and horsemen assembled to pay thenlast tribute to the departed. The cortege left Mr Johnson’s late residence in Whitaker street shortly after two o’clock in the afternoon, and proceeded Jto the cemetery, where the ceremony was attended by a large number of I sympathetic mourners, who surrounded the grave, whilst the burial service was read by MrF. W. Wild with impressive solemnity. It is felt lhat by Mrs Johnson’s death, a kind and loving mother is missing from the home circle and that all who .were intimate with her have lost a kind and sympathetic friend.
