A Scotchman named Alexander Murrison, wharf labourer, age 42, was found in an unconscious condition on Tuesday night, and died in the hospital last night from a fractured skull,. The police believe the man was the victim of violent assault. He was apparently sober when found. Dannevirke, This Day. A distressing suicide took place yesterday morning. A married woman, Alice Blight, aged 31 years, cut her throat with a carving knife. Her husband left home at 9 and returned an hour later to find his wife lying in a pool of blood. The injuries were of a terrible pature. She was ip ill health, apd had no family.
