Mr Seddon moved on the second leading of the Commissioners Act Ameudmeat Bill, to remove technical obstacles in the way of the appointmeni of(tJaVee judges of the Supreme Court being appointed to inquire iuto he system of audit. Objection was aken to the provi-ion that the proceedings of ihe committee shall be tubjudice, and when the Bdl was- in Committee the Premier agreed to this clause being struck out. The Bill ,vas put through its final stages on he voic es. ? v - . Mr Seddon moved a secondAeading of the Education Act Amendment Bill, This was agreed to after a tongthy debate and the Bill referred to the Education Committee.
