Messrs Bewley and Griffiths, Dairy Produce Exporters, New Plymouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Spßrrow, dated 18th August 1905. — Butter. Since our last there has been a steady improvement in the general demand. The shipment per s.s. Ortona is to hand, and one or two of the New South Wales brands open in very fine order, for these 110 s have been made. Some good lines of Queensland have changed hands to arrive per Indraghin at 102 s, c.i.f. Canadian dropped back in price at the commencement of the week, but has now somewhat recovered its position, although buyers are not keen except for unsalted, which is clearing. Russians, quality much better, and at the quotations are cheap. Irish have suffered somewhat in price, buyers taking the French and Canadian at the lower prices in preference.
