Waihou Notes.

(From our own Correspondent.) Springtime is undoubtedly with us, riiere being abundance of nice warm rains, and the pastures are looking very green and full of growth. _ Farmers have been able to get in the bulk of thick oat crops, which in many cases, are well above ground. Although the rains are very beneficial to the pastures, it is not so with ' he’ ioads, and coining with ithe creased traffic, (caused through the various creameries havingagain started perations), it has made the roads very sloppy. The Waihou Branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union meeting which was to eventuate last 'Tuesday week, had to be postponed, owing to 1 t he inclemency of the weather. The Manure Buyer’s Association is , now au established fact and a .-good ju intity of Calcutta bones has.arrived iu execution of the farmers orders, and general satisfaction is expressed all ->und at the quality of this manure. Evidently other party or parties* are iware of their good quality also, as oine sneak-thieves, have already been Helping themselves, oue party having a bag of his manure stolen before he c mid get it carted away. The local footballers are bukmg •>rwßrd to their sofial, at winch iiie \R.TJ. Cops are f o be presemel aud : 11 the arrangements are now well in and, and a most successful gathering, * anxiously 1-oked forward to, (espe■ally by the ladies). The L >ca!
