The illustrated lecture to be given to-night in the Presbyterian Church, by Mr Wilson, is particularly oportune from the fact that the subject, “ South America,” is one which at the present time is being much discussed, and the lecture will no doubt give us a good insight into the manners and customs of a rich and rapidly-develop-ing country. Parents should bear in mind the splendid opportnnity for giving their children a good few hours’ enjoyment on Saturday next, when a sale of work will bo hold in aid of Dr Barnado’s Children's Homes. The committee will be pleased to re coivo goods for competitions up to noon on Saturdny. Doors will open at 2 p.m. and children admitted at halfprice, 3d.
