Te Aroha Flying Club.
On Saturday last, the Te Aroha Pigeon Plying Club opened the season with a race from Te Kuite. The first prize was an attractive picture given by Mr G. H. Lee. The result was as follows: S. and G. Wallace’s “ Waster” first; Hirst’s “ Torpedo ” second ; By* grave’s “Reliance” third. The other birds entered were Wallace’s “Togo,” “Ironsides” and “ Dirty-blue;” Hirst’s “ 700,”Ellery’s “Dr. Nansen,” “Barbelle,” “ Ding bat,” ancl “Srraybird;” Bvgrave’s “Royal George ” and I.la trick's “ St. Patrick,” Mr Wittner’s trophy will be the object of the next race.
