The Brandts.
We would remind our readers that as announced in our advertising columns, The Brandts will appear in the To Aroha, Public Hall on Saturday and Monday, September 9th and llth. Our exchanges speak ia high terms of these clever artists, who are society entertainers of exceptional ability bei jg apparently quite at home in either opera, comedy or drama. Their style of entertainment is interesting and amusing as well as being of a novel and( up-tO'dat© character. The North Auckland Times recently commenting on their performance says the one act comedy “Matrimony” was full of humour and the several impersonations were cleverly rendered the situations were at times most ludicrous and enjoyable in the ex--1 reme. Mr Brandt’s rich and dear tenor voice was heard to great ad van" • age in the interpolated song “My Sweetheart when a Boy *’ for which ho received n double encore and his excellently played MandoJyra Solo was nlao vociferously applauded. Miss Annie Brandt is. a clever :>nd polished actress and her incidental character songs took immensely with the audience. Mrs O’Blarney she scored a distinct suceess and displayed fine teting. The entertainment being of a style new to Te Aroha audiences and particularly pleasing to ladies we trust that on their first appearance here they will be greeted with a bumper house.
