The usual fornightly meeting of the Loyal Ho-. Springs Lodge was held last Friday evening, N. G. Bro Harris presiding over a fair attendance of members. Two new members were unanimously elected and duly initiated into the order, P. G, Bro G. Sherlock conducting the initiation ceremony. A quantity of routine business was

expeditiously dealt with and at the conclusion of the meeting another of the series of “ pound ” socials was held. , Prior to supper ad joummentP.G. Bros Sherlock and Hubbard addressed those present regarding the movement for the formation of a ladies lodge of the Order in Te Aroha, both speakers confirming themselves to the main points the seals of pontributions and Benefit? was read out. The ladies present were invited to ask questions on the subject, each lady being pro.vided with a piece of paper for the purpose of writing dovyu three

questions, after which a box was handed to collect them, the questions if are apparently satisfactorily answered by Bro Hubr bard; during tfye evening several ladjes gave in their naiqes for membership.
