Manawaru Notes.
(From our own Correspondent.) The social held in the schoolroom was a great success. Some people go so far as to say it was the best yet. There has been great mortality among cows, young stock and pigs. The bridge over Coleman’s Creek will soon be finished. It looks a good sound substantial structure, and it is to be hoped that the hanks on each side will be well-graded down and not left at such a sharp pitch as the old road. AH'the creameries about this district are now open. ( The Manawaru hoys journeyed to Te Aroha West last week to play a game; of football. After a hard struggle th 6 game resulted in a draw., ' r The weather is cold and stormy with brilliant bursts of sunshine between the storms.
