The erection ®f the new telegraph line from Paeroato Rotorua is nearing completion, and it is expected that through communication will he established by it in a fortnight. Prom Morrinsville to Te Aroha the line is erected alongside the railway, but from Te Aroha to Paeroa, runs along the roadside. This new.line is carried out upon a more up-to-date system than hitherto, and with tben?w instruments which are soon to be fitted, telegraphic communication ought indeed to be both rapid end reliable. Better communication will also ha opened up with Tauranga and Rati - kate by way of Paeroa. At the bridge neat the Waitoa River on the Thames-Waikato road there is a dangerous hole caused by the road surface dropping away from the end plank of the bridge. This is a place that calls for immediate attention. On this same road, near Mr Parr’s, there nre several extremely dangerous places which are badly in need of attention. A waggon got fast in one of these last week, and was only extricated with difficulty. On Satirdav.
