The above sketch ' depicts the Borough Crmucil’s new electric power house, recently reported complete by the contractor Mr Geo. Frith. A large sliding door will admit the machinery, which will soon be in the spot, it having recently a rrived in Auckland by the s. s. Maori, An abundant supply of water with which to drive the turbines, will be provided by the reservoir situated further up the hill at Tui Point, a little to the left of the cross marked in the sketch. A large number of the pipes which are to convey the water are waiting to be laid in the trench, aad good progre.-s is being made with the scheme.
