Winning the toss, the colonials went in but opened none too well, losing three wickets for 63; then Hill and Duff made a fair stand carrying the score to 122 for the 4th wicket, when Duff was dismissed for 22. Hill, who was playing in fine form was dismissed at 89, the score standing at 7 wickets for 150,
