IHE R ad Boards’ Act Amendment Bill P igsed its final stages, and the Old Ago Pension Bill was read a sec* ond lime on the voices. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES A greater part of the afternoon was occupied in discussing the Ministerial reply to questions. The following have pissed the hn stages: -Mutual Fire Insurance jAct Amendment, Motor Registration, and Public Works Amendment, Steward Elective Executive Bill gave rise to a lengthy debate, and eventually the Bill was thrown out by 29 to 20. The House rose at 1. 45.
Mr Ell intends to move —“ That there be laid before this "House a return showing—(l). The number of persons on tho roll in each electorabdistrlct at last general electiou, and (2) the percentage of those on the roll who voted at the last general election in each electoral district.” Mr Buddo is to ask the Minister of Education “If it is tho intention of the Government this session to make provision for the payment of te ers salaries on a more fiixed system than the present, which is so much affected by the epidemics affecting the health of the children and the average attendance?”
