SPLIT IN THE CABINET. By Telegraph.—Press Association, London, July 24. The Times states the Cabinet has decided not to treat the defeat as a vote of VVant-of-Confidenee, as at least two Ministers favoured immediate resignation. Some others preferred dissolution iu October or November. The majority of the Government. party desired to proceed with the Ministerial programme, except redistribution next session.
