At the Police Court-one of Swan’s sons said the accused’s head was penetrated some years ago by a stone, which was supposed to be still embedded in his head, which would at times swell at the slightest injury. The latest occasion was only only one on which witness had known the accused attack his wife without a preliminary altercation.
