Election Notes.

Mr W. McOardle, of Kawhia, who was also a member of the Land Commission, is going to run Mr Massey for the Franklin seat. Mr G. L. Peacock is seeking election for Waitemata. Mr Hugh Poloud is the most likely candidate in the Liberal interests for Ohinemuri. Paeroa, Thursday. Four candidates have applied to the Ohinemuri Liberal and Labour Federation for its support at the c oming general election. The names of th< j candidates are : Mr Hugh Poland (who contested the seat last year), Mr W. H. Phillips (formerly Mayor of Waihi), Mr M. J. Stewart (who stood for Ohinemuri six years ago, and Mr E, Graham (at one time a member of the Ohinemuri County Council). A ballot to decide who will be the candidate to receive the Federation’s support will probably be taken at the various branches on Tuesday next, Waipawa, Thursday. . Mr George Hunter will contest the . Waipawa seat at tho general election. Christo nunc n. Thursday Mr W. Radcliffe, ex-Mayor of Lyttelton, has announced himself as a candidate to the Lyttelton seat.
