A. man was admitted to the Sydney hospital last night declared; to bo suffering from, plague.. This morning there was an additional case at Redfern—a man named White;. Several' suspected cases- are being investigated.. The cleansing- of the- infected distinct is proceeding; vigorously; The cleansing of the infected district is proceeding vigorously.. Filth is- being piled in heaps in Sussex street, and fires are being, lighted at interval* in the centre of the-road to,cremate the stuff;. The amount of filth revealed since cleansing started yesterday lingThe forty-fui tH- case was reported this.afternoon—n.; White, of. Clarence street.
• Cases of inoculated pati nts are being watched with iuterest.
