DOUBLES—EIRST BOUND. The matches in connection with the above tournament are causing’ great excitement among the players ; and as the handicaps are very fair, it will be a difficult thing to pick the winning couple. The following are the doubles played off:— Miss Maingay and J. Calder (owe 15) beat Miss O’Meagher and D. Banks.—3-6 6 3 6 3. Miss Howard and A. Kenny beat Miss Pavitt and F. Woods. —3 6 6 4 6 -5. Miss Calder and W. Maingay beat Miss Campbell and J. Reunick (owe 15.).—6-4 6-3. Miss F. Manning and J-. Allen, beat Miss Graham and G. Dansey.—6 3 1-6 6-4. There are four more couples to play off, when the drawing for the second round will take place.
