(From own Correspondent.) drowningTccidents.. Gisborne Yesterday, An old man named Walter. Jennings bootmaker, was drowned last evening. He was picked up after being & quarter of an hour in the water, but efforts to restore life failed.. Blenheim Yesterday. A lad named George Ot-s.wforb. aged fourteen, was found in -« the Wairau river, near a Maori pah. The lad went on the river in a punt,, , and it is supposed the punt capsized,, or that the lad became flurried and jumped out.
