At present the nearest institution of this kind is situated at Paoroa—some fifteen miles away. Surely one of the many Banking |L ins could he-induced to start a branch in our mids*-. What with County and Borough Councils, Domain and Road. Boards,. Lodges, Commit'ees, etc , etc., besides the extensive farming districs all round. Te Arolia with creameries in full swing, mining and flax mills, it is beyond our comprehension why a branch Bank is not opened in our town.
