M. EMILE LAZERN.
PUBLIC HALL, TO-NIGHT. M. Emile Lazern, a prestidigitateur from the Crystal Palace, London, will perform a number of feats of legerdemain in the Public Hall this evening, (Tuesday, March 20th). As the above gentleman performs his feats in an artistic and dexterous manner, and is termed ‘ The World’s Modern Marvel,’ no doubt he will he greeted with a large house. We cull the following from the various papers : M. Lazern is a past master in his own line of business, which consists in that ever-interesting branch of legerdemain, and whose humourous way is as pleasant as his ability is striking.— Rangitiki Mail, N.Z. As an introduction to the third act, M. Ernilo Lazern, a worthy successor to Carl Hertz in cleverness of sleight of hand work, astonished and mystified the audience by. some remarkable fea f s of the ‘ Black Art.’—West Australian. M, Emile-Lazern, who is at present giving a vory neat performance nightly at the Melbourne Gaiety Theatre, may be classed as one of the most dexterous aftd Jciever manipulators that it has been our pleasure to see. Though only a young man in. appearance, his sleight-of-hand would do credit to ono of the oldest in. the craft, and the interestintho performance is intensified by no apparatus being used in hisillusions, being performed in full view of the audience by the hands alone.— Age, Melbourne. The conjuring tricks of M. Emile Lazern stamp him as one of the cleverest in his lino that has yot visited this colony. Tils, ‘turn’ constitutes an interesting break in tho proceedings at Pro man tie Fayre.—Claro’s Weekly,
