THE THERMO - HYPER PHORIC PROCESS..
The. Rev. J.. Campbell states that although the hulk refTactory ores of Te Aroha are not worth handling by his process, yet parches of. ore are met with that would well pa}' miners’ to extract,, and. this-ore,, if it assays over 30s a ton-, will pay to work. Mr Campbell has been trying to devise- a cheap method of smelting concentrates from such orea after, treat monk,, and he yesterday proved th.nt he has been successful, as he extracted 99-per cent, from concentrates assaying. £5 per ton, "by means of a cheap form of smelter, he has arranged, and the use of local fluxes. He states that the Herald has. been premature .in its statement in the summary for transmission abroad; and. that they inserted the paragraph' without his authority. The process is a decided’success in all cases where there is .any value in the ore, and it now remains for owners of mines to show. that, their ores contain value.
Matters in connection with mining ars steadily progressing.. Mr Hardy’s battery is working away, and the ,raturn& are satisfactory to the owner.
