Shocking Railway Accident.
i A shocking accident, resulting fatally occurred on the Kaipara railway line on Monday evening last* Two railwaj ! employes started on a jigger from. New market to. thou homes at Mount E led When at the bend opposite the gaol they were run into by the- Helensvillj train, which had just left Mount Eddl station,, and had got on the good id cline grade at that point* The enginl driver endeavoured to pull up, but til engine crashed into the jifcger* smaslfl ing it. ' I Arthur Edward McKelloy was In ribly injured, and died shortly aftfl admittance to the hospital. '1 His companion, John Warren, wd not seriously hurt* I The deceased wife ml two children* - I Warren was so dazed by the shofl that no intelligible account of tfl accident can be got from him, or explanation as to how he came to ■ on the line* It is supposed thH risked getting to the Mount Edfl railway station before the train lfl there. ■
