How are the several properties in this district with which he is connected panning out?’ And a hundred and one other queries too numerous to mention. Well, as the Company referred to is of an entirely private nature, we are unable to supply the information desired. All we can say is the rev. gentleman has the fullest confidence in his process, and it will not he his fault if things fail to pan out trumps.
WAIHI RETURN. That sterling gold-producer, the Waihi mine, is again to the fore with a good yield, 9,933 tons of ore being treated during the month ended 3rd inst. for buTion valued at £25,649. OHINEMURI SYNDICATE. The Elliot tunnel is still being advanced, acd a nice channel of country is being" penetrated, numerous mineral veins being intersected. The face of the tunnel is in 1700 feet. KLONDYKE (Omahu). This claim is located at the back of Omahu peak, about five miles from the main road. The reef is enclosed within defined walls about eight feet apart, and is composed of country mixed with quartz veins and joints, the veins and joints carrying the gold.. It has evei’y appearance of depth, and though it has SO' far been traced only for a distance of two or three chains, the nature of the country is such that a large amount of backs mxxst be available. It is understood that assay tests averaged £2 15s per ton, some small parcels going as high as £lO per ton.
WAIHI RETURNS.
£25,649 FROM 99-33 TONS.
During the twenty eight days ending February 3rd the Waihi Company crushel 9933 tons of ore for a return of bullion .valued at L 25,649. This bring'’ the total output xxp to L1,218,_100 8s 9d.
