We do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions expressed by our correspondents.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The correspondence appearing in your columns of la'e has been some what interesting reading, and from the general tone of the choir of scribes indulging in tho ‘ pen war,’ it loqks as if someone has blundered. One v liter commences his epistle by urging the necessity of a bowling- green being- provided for visitors to our Hot Springs, and finishes up by ‘ Hating our worthy Engineer.’ .Surely things are alright at the bridge now ; since the Borough have wi'hin the last few weeks—appointed a practical man to ovorseo the crncrote and brick work.—l am, etc.,

I write the-e few' lines hoping those who have been helping to fill his purse will in the future leave him severely alone, ml let him return to his countrymen, whom he makes no secret of stating aro fighting against us for what they are justly entitled to.—l am, etc.,
