Waitoa Live Stock Sale.
At the above sale yesterday the average attendance of buyers were present. Less than usual numbers were yarded. No dairy oattle were offered. Stores, on account of dry weather, were dull of sale. Beef: No steers sold, not fetching reserved prices ; heifers and calves ranging from L 3 10 to L 5, one choice beast bringing L 6. Sheep were higher than last month’s sale by Is 6d per head ; ewes 8s lOd to 10s; wethers lls 6d; pen of lambs brought 7s each Pigs: Few good stores sold at 14s.
