There were four entries for Mr John Borrie’s prize sewing machine for best band--wn ladies’ night dress The prize was awarded to Miss Stark, with Miss Maggie Ross second. Unfortunately a protest was entered against the judges’ decision in the last class. The committee, together with the stewards, met in the evening to decide it. The. judges’ decision upheld. A hearty vote of thanks was given to the fady stewards for the thorough manner in which they carried out thoir duties.
