Te Aroha Book Club
In connection with the Te Aroha Book Club, what we consider an excellent suggestion has been made, namely, the opening of a reading-room in the Bankof New Z -aland Buildings, where the Club magazines will be laid on the table after the members have finished with them ; in addition to sundry other magazines and papers from other sources. The terms of subscription to the reading room will be 6d per week, the subscribing members to be nominated by members of the Te Aroha Book Club. The rea ling-room will be open to members Jovery day. It is also proposed to admit members of the Te Aroha Chess Club (in abey ance in the absence of suitable rooms) and the rules as to silence will be strictly enforced in the magazine room. The number of subscribing members will be limited to twelve, with power to add to that number. The date of the opening of the Club-room will be announced in a few days.
