St Mark’s Church
Tire annual meeting of parishoners washeid on Tuesday evening last, there was not a large attendance. The Vicar presided. < After the opening prayer, and the reading .of the minutes of last meeting, the several accounts were l’ead. The general Church accounts showed : receipts £159 12s Id, made up of offertories £145 15s Id, and subscriptions £l3 17s; an increase of £34 on the previous year. The Sunday School accounts, only started since February, -showed receipts £3 8s 2d. The Vicarage accounts showed receipts £427 13s 5d made up as follows : Subscriptions £55 8s ;‘ sale, of work, including donations; 14 2s lid; defcture by Rev J. Campbell £8 2s 6d; loan £250. The accounts as read were adopted. The following Church officers were appointed ; Messrs J. T. Maingay and M. H. Wright, Churchwardens ; and Dr Smith and Messrs Marsdon, Wild, J. Evans, and F. Strange as Vestry ; Mr Gilchrist as Treasuer, and Mr Hill as Auditor.

Great satisfaction was expressed at the report from the Sunday School, and the thanks of the meeting wbfe given to the Superintendent and Teachers for their good work.
The question of enlarging the Church was brought up, and its der sirability affirmed, should the Vestry deem it necessary. The organist and choir were thanked for their efficient services in the Church during the year. At the Vestry meeting held afterwards, Miss Maingay was re-appointed organist, and JMr Bennett, church officer. .
It was also decided to hold a Church Soriee on the 9th ,N< vamber.
