REVOLT OF THE CAROLINE ISLANDERS.. FEARFUL ATROCITIES RE- ’ PORTED. We clip the following from files just to hand The sfcvolt against Spauish mle in the Carolinas seems to be more serious than“at first |reported. Fear-, ful atrocities are said to have already taken place amongst the natives them, selves, some of whom declare for Spanish rule, whilst the majority remain insurgent. The war- waged by human beings against one another is undoubtedly bitter and calamitous, but the war which rheumatism waged upon Mr David Robertson, of Bryon street, Kew, Victoria, was even more cruel and malignant. The; unhappy „ sufferer—-a gentleman over 80 years of age—battled on unsuccessfully for
some time, and was about to give in when Dr Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People came to his aid, aad after a sharp and severe engage - nient completely routed .the disease. The history of the case will prove of intense interest. Mr Robertson for 18 months suffered most virulently from rheumatism which appeared first in the right knee, next in the left hip, and then in the shoulders, wrists, hands, knees, and legs. He was rendered entirely helpless. Every friend he had recommended different remedies in turn-—sulphur, kerosene outwardly and inwardly, citric acid, marsh mallow fomentations, hot sea baths, several bottles of a largely-ad-vertised cure for rheumatism, and other articles were all tried without the slightest benefit accruing. Ultimately, Mr Robertson came to the conclusion that his aiiment was incurable. A little while later, however a f riend indubed him to try Dr Williams’ Pink Pills. He followed the directions carefully and patiently, and’ in about three weeks or, a month after taking them he noticed a considerable improvement in his condition; he had than taken two boxes. He persevered will the remedy, and, little by little,* his ailment gave him less and less trouble. He continued in this manner until he had taken about 10 or 11 boxes, the time occupied being from six to seven months. At, this stage every trace of rheumatism had left him and he was absolutely and perfectly cured in every particular. He was now quite free from pain. Mr Robertson, in conclusion, said he had recommended Dr Williams’ Pink Pills to many of his friends, and they had received most beneficial results from their use. He was well known in the locality, and would certainly continue to recommend them. This case is one which amply demonstrates the marvellous curative properties of this universal medicine under the most ad verse circumstances.
