RESULT OF THE POLL.
oisf Saturday last the election of Councillors for the. Borough ef Te Aroha for the ensuing three months took place. There was little excitement. Towards evening the streets presented a more animated; appearance than usual: but on the whole proceedings were of a tame description as befits a borough with such a reputation for the orderliness of its crowds. On the Returning Officei\(Mr Snevvin) declaring the names of those —the first six —who were duly elected, the results were received with great cheering.
