Waitoa Road Board.

These alterations will be attended to when the new valuation roll comes to hand; < .. .. ; A letter was received from W. Duncan, supervising valuer, in reference to having necessary alterations made in the'valuation roll, and asking if the clerk would assist: in the direc tion indicated. - The clerk replied ihat he would he most happy to give all the, assistance he could. The Board cordially approved of the letter sent by the clerk. The clerk was instructed to writo and ask whon tho valuation roll will be forwarded. The Engineer in his report stated that the fir«s|fphich have been burning for some mduths on Grattan s Road, .. have made holes in the road in some' places four or five feet deep. It was decided that a- ditch be dug along one side of the road toobtain stuff to make up the holes. It was decided that" about sixty chains of the ditch on side of what is known as Parmer’s Road at the Waitoa Bush be cleaned out. It was reported that the bridge over the Ngutumanga Road, out-fall drain will soon give way if something is not done to prevent the banks from slipping down. Decided that the Engineer got stakes, and brush put in to protect the banks. It was reported that one of the bridges on McGlashan’s Road is giving way, and that the Piako bridge, near the Kiwitahi railway.-', station, seems to be getting shabby when .a. waggon with a load is crossing. The Engineer was instructed to get the bridge bn McGlashanV road put right, and inspect and report on the Piako bridge. . It was reported that the surfacemen have been doing good work, and that Jt Starke has repaired the road through the Eversley property, from the main Richmond Road to Starke’s boundary,. and has made a; very good job. No reply lr>is been received to the Board’s application a month ago for *-£4O placed on the Estimates by. Government, and which is gaid to be still unexpended and availabfe for drains on block IX, Aroha. ■ The following accounts were passed for payment :—A, Bremner L2 10s ; E. Pavitt L 3 15; W.
