CORRESPONDENCE .

Under no circumstances, wh never is the Editor responsible for matter contained *n correspondence ]

(To the Editor.) ■dße*& Sir, —So far, we have, had no notification of the intention of the various candidates for municipal honors to enlighten the electors as to their views on Borough matters. This, I presume, is due to their great bashfulness. Perhaps a few of the least backward, f will favour us with their views on tlw' following questions : (1) Will you endeavour to at once obtain a water supply and drainage soheme ? (2) Will you endeavour to get a municipal owned system of Borough lighting, instead of the proposed grab ? - . (3) Will you at once let a contract for a night-soil system instead of tho present one ? (4) WTil you vote for all street maintenance, and supplies being submitted to open competition, all tenders to be placed in a locked box and opened only at CounciOneetings? ' ; : (5) Will you insist on all Borough servants being disoonnected* with any firm which supplies goods to the Council ? (6) Will you endeavour to at onca got the Borough divided into W ards, ' and have a new Burgess Roll prepared so that Councillors shall truly represent the town. ; These are a few of the questions which are sure to crop uf, and-on which electors ought to know candidates’ views.—l am., etc., T. Sutton.
