The monthly meeting of the . shove ' Council took place at Morrinsville on Wednesday last, when there were present: ~Crs. Sweeney. .Dog Tax.—A Bremner, collector, ta iii aa 'exiiauitiTd report on the unregistered dogs in his distimjfend his persistent but unavailing effora jto colioct the tax from the owners, u Council decided to instruct Clerk to notify owners of unregistered dogs that Collector had been authorised to take proceedings against them. .Valuation. —Council having asked the Valuation Department for a note of the valuation for purpose of estimating the rates for the ooming year, the following memo was received showing the valuation of the County exclusive of Crown and Native lands: Waitoa Riding L 289.079 ; Te Aroha Town . District L 52,290; Te Arbha Outlying District L 59,996 ; Matamata Road District'Ll Taotaoroa Ri ling L 31,511; Patefcere Riding L235’268. Total L< 8 7,316, which is an all round increase ut L 146,607 on values fixed previously.
