Wedding Bells.
A wedding of considerable interest to many in this neighborhood was solemnized at the Thames on Wednesday last, the contracting parties* being Miss Louisa Stevens (for some years assist ant teacher at the Waiorongomai district school), and Mr William Towers, of Paeroa., The ceremony took place at the Thames in St. George’s Church, tkS*Kev W. H. Wilson, of Taeroa, , assisted by the Rev Dr O Gallaghan 3 officiated. The bride, who was. given away by her brother in-law, --Mr R. Morrison, was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Elsie Stevens and Lilian Towers, each of whom was tastefully dressed, and wore- handsome - gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Messrs v*W.V'Stevens, smd jEi-rTcrtvers fulfilled their duties; as .groomsmen most efficiently. • After, the ceremony the party drove to the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs-Morrison, whef ß a sumptuous wedding breakfast “was partaken of. The happy couple'then departed, amidst showers of rice and good wishes,for. Rotorua, where the honeymoon is to^be 1 spentv;&.£Mr^und. 'Mrs To were were the'recipients of numerous valuable and useful presents., showing the esteem in which they are held by a large circle of friends. V
