Te Aroha v. Morrinsville. This match will be played at Morrinsville to-day, Saturday 11th June, when a pleasant and well-contested contest is anticipated. TOWN v SCHOOL BOYS. (By one of thorn). A match was played in Lipsey’s paddock on Thursday between the Town Boys’ Football Club and the Te Aroha School-Doys. The match commenced a *j £ P‘ m * UQ der the supervfeitm of Eev MeFarland who acted as re*He The School team wer® the first to score and Senior Marsdon who waft Captain after a hard run managed to gefcbehind the goal line amid the cheers of his companions. After a good deal of hard work the ball was carried through by Patterson, who was playing for the ‘‘Town Boys ” but no goal was kicked. I here was some very rough* playimy on both sides and when the half-time was announced by the referee the boys had a rest for five minutes, aud then the match was resumed. Senior Marsdon was again the first to get a try and some fine play was shown by Pickles, Buck Allen, Barley Waters, McKee, Cochrane, Chum Wallace and Forb s. On the Towff side J.Timmins who was the next to score, H Willis Harris, Stump Cornes, Whitten and Smiler Wattam. indulged in some fine play. When the match was over"the referee declared it a draw, and after three cheers had been given the boys departed from the ground having passed a'pleasant hour.
