Football Notes .
VOLUNTEERS v. CIVILIANS. [by drop-kick.] A football match has Keen arranged between the Te Aroha Kootball Club and a team picked from our local Volunteer corps. The match will be played in Mr Geo. Lipsey’s paddock on Saturday next. Mr 8. T. Smardon having presented the Club with a football to be competed for, it has been decided to present the ball to the team which proves best out of three games. The Volunteers will be represented by. .Comes. Buchan, Smales, Salmon, Biggs (2), Pickett, Strange (2), Roto, Mikkelsen (2), Borne, Bell, Morse, Gallager and Tattaraull. ; Civilians.': Lipsey, Bell, Poland, Flatt, Jennings, Rennick, Pavitt, Saunders, Keneally, Ross, Clarke, Williamson, Ngarua, Mick, O’Meagher, McCord, Lawn, 0 jok and Smith.
