Robbery Under Arms
' £95: STOLEN: , 1 - Perth, May 23’ A daring case-of robbery-under arms; occurred at Guildford,, a-few miles from; Perth. Mr Ford, secretary, and anotheremployee of the Peninsular Brick. Works, were driving, from, the city tothe works with a bag containing L97' wages,, when three armed: masked l mem rushed from, the bush. One seized the horses’ head, and. the. other two demanded the money. Mr Ford at~ . tempted to whip up the horses, when, one of the robbers-drew a revolver and; shot him. through, the fleshy part oF the forearm. The wounded man andl his companion were then- hound andgagged, and the robbers decamped with; the money. The horse and buggy were found., three miles from the scene of the outrage; No arrests; have yet been made.
