The. following letter appeared! in j Wednesday’s * Star• Sir,—After having, enjpyed: a< five weeks’ holiday in Te Aroha,, I think ;it is only due to-the-plac© and- neighbourhood to sound: a note in-its-praise ;so that distant dwellers who have not vet seen, may learn something of- its -attractions.. Of course,, the baths are .the greatest consideration, therefore must be the first. Of these there. are jin number and variety, hot, tepid-and cold,, sufficient for the- requirements and convenience of aU comers, especially with- the addition of the new private baths-so shortly to be opened'. Tn the Domain there are many smooth dry walks, shady trees,, and par excellence- the baths themselves.. I have found great benefit myself from the 'waters, the rest, and the bracing, air, so that perhaps, I see through rosecoloured glasses. I have had many peaceful, happy wanderings in its fern - bordered,. - shadowded, bushy mountain paths. ,The town is well supplied by boarding-houses and hotels with accommodation for-visi-tors and. what is very much, to the purposo, and will be, I can suppose, a great boon to invalid-visitors, there-is now recently arranged a private sanatorium under medical guidance.
